Shaker Lap Desks

Simple Shaker style...
In the late 18th and early 19th century embellishments were removed from furniture to allow the clean lines and exposed joinery to show.

The body of the desk has full dovetailed corners. The lid employs a double haunched mortise and tenon into the breadboard ends. Each desk also has an interior divider to separate writing utensils. The Shaker style fits most re-enactment periods and also blends in well with modern home use and decor.

The Shaker Lap Desk measures 16" wide, 4 3/4" high and 11" deep.

This desk is available in White Pine or Walnut.
